What Valorant betting odds mean

A Valorant odds number is the payout multiplier on a result. At a decimal price of 1.80, a winning 10 unit stake returns 18, which is the 10 back plus 8 profit. The lower the number, the shorter the price and the stronger the favourite.

This board shows decimal odds, the format used across European and esports books. Fractional and moneyline formats describe the same thing in different notation, so a price you see quoted elsewhere converts cleanly to the number here.

Decimal odds and implied probability

Divide 1 by the decimal price and you get the probability the book is implying. These are illustrative conversions rather than prices from the board.

Decimal priceImplied probabilityWhat it means
1.3076.9%A clear favourite. Returns 13 on a 10 stake.
1.8055.6%A modest favourite in a close matchup.
2.1047.6%A slight underdog, close to an even match.
3.5028.6%A clear underdog. Returns 35 on a 10 stake.

Add the two implied probabilities on a match together and the total comes to more than 100%. That surplus is the bookmaker margin, and it is how a book prices in its own return. Every two-way market carries one, which is why the two sides never sum to exactly 100%.

What a row on the board shows

Each row carries the two teams, the VCT event the match belongs to, the start time, and the current price on each side. Match winner is the market priced on effectively every fixture, and books add map winner and player markets closer to a start when a match draws enough interest. More about the competition behind a row sits on the wider Valorant scene.

Why Valorant odds move

A book opens a Valorant price from a model built on team rating, recent results and the map pool, then moves it as money arrives and as news lands. Prices rarely sit still between opening and lock.

Roster news moves a line hardest, because a substitute invalidates the recent results the opening price was built on. Form and the map-pool matchup matter next: a team that is strong on the maps likely to be picked will shorten, and international events reprice faster than regional ones because more money runs through them.

In play, the price follows the map score, so taking the first map of a Bo3 moves a side sharply. Within a map it moves in smaller steps: Valorant maps run to 13 rounds with the sides switching after 12, so a team that builds a lead on its stronger half carries a shorter price into the switch than the round count alone suggests.

Which event a match belongs to is part of reading the price, and the Valorant match schedule carries the stage and start time behind every fixture here. We run the same board for CS2 odds and Dota 2 odds.

Valorant odds questions

How often do the odds on this board update?

The board refreshes frequently through the day, and in-play prices move fastest because they follow the round and map score. A price you looked at a few minutes ago may already have moved.

Are these the same prices I will get at the bookmaker?

Not always. Prices here are aggregated from tracked providers and can differ by operator, region and time of capture. Check the price at the book itself before placing any bet.

Why do Valorant odds differ between betting sites?

Books price the same match from different inputs, so their numbers rarely match. Some weight recent international results and map-pool depth, others lean on head-to-head history or regional form, and each applies its own margin on top. Disagreement is widest on lower-tier and regional matches, where there is less recent data to model and less money moving through the market to correct a mispriced line. International VCT matches converge faster because more books price them and more money runs through them. Two books can also show different numbers for the same underlying probability simply because their margins differ.

Does BO5 take bets on Valorant?

No. BO5 displays prices from tracked providers for information. We do not accept bets and we do not operate as a bookmaker.

Can I bet on Valorant where I live?

That depends on your country, and often on your state or province. This page is informational, so check your local law and the licensing status of any operator before signing up. The Valorant betting guide covers how the rules differ and what to check first.
