A price is a payout and a probability at the same time. The three notations below all describe the same bet, and the implied probability is what the book thinks the outcome is worth before its margin is taken out.

The four titles price differently because they are shaped differently. Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant split into maps and then into rounds, which gives a book two extra layers to price. Dota 2 and League of Legends split into games but not into rounds, so the equivalent depth is built on kills and objectives instead. Series format does the rest: a best-of-one has no handicap or totals market at all.

That shape is why a Counter-Strike board looks two or three times deeper than a League of Legends one on the same day, and it is not a judgement about which title a book prices better. It is arithmetic. A best-of-three that splits into three maps of thirteen or more rounds each offers a bookmaker dozens of things to quote a price on. A single game with no round structure offers a handful.

One product to keep separate. Prediction-market contracts on esports outcomes are priced by an order book rather than by a bookmaker, so there is no margin built into the line and no bookmaker on the other side of it. Their prices are not directly comparable with the ones on this board, and a contract that looks like better value than a sportsbook price may simply be a thinner market.

The filter at the top of the board narrows it to one title, and the timestamp beside it is the moment the prices were read. Both matter more than they look: a price you are reading minutes after a roster announcement is a price that has not caught up yet, and the timestamp is how you tell.

Read a pair of prices as a pair. The two numbers on a row are the book's view of one match, and converting both to implied probability using the table above tells you how much margin sits between them. A pair that adds up to a long way over 100 percent is a wider margin, and a wider margin is a worse price for you whichever side you take.
