Crypto esports betting

Bitcoin and crypto esports betting sites, checked by country

Crypto esports betting means funding a sportsbook account in Bitcoin, Ethereum or a stablecoin and betting on CS2, Dota 2, LoL or Valorant. Every book below has a full BO5 review, and each one blocks some countries, so check the region selector before you register: the registration form is the real test.

A country missing from a restricted list is not proof a book accepts you. The registration form is the final test.

This page compares how the books handle crypto. For which markets each one prices on CS2, Valorant, Dota 2 and LoL, see the bet types table on our esports betting page, and CS2 betting for the CS2 detail. Stake also runs a casino, which this page does not cover. Skin betting on CS2 trading and case sites is a different product from a licensed crypto sportsbook, and none of those sites is listed here.

Who can actually sign up

Each book on this page decides who it accepts, and its terms list the countries it will not serve. All three refuse players in the United States and the United Kingdom, and each one excludes a different set of regulated European and other markets. The region selector above reads those lists, so pick your country before you read anything else.

A restricted list is the operator's own statement, and lists change. The test that decides it is the registration form: if your country is excluded, the sign-up will not complete. A book that would not let you register is also not a book that will settle a dispute in your favour later, so make this check before any deposit.

Two cases sit between open and closed. Stake serves some regulated markets through a separately licensed local site rather than the international one, so a country missing from Stake.com can still have a Stake product of its own, on its own terms. GG.BET is the other case. Sweden is not on its own exclusion list, but Sweden's gambling regulator has published a prohibition order against its operating company. That is a regulator's decision on record rather than the operator's choice, and the GG.BET review sets out what it says.

We describe what each operator's terms and the regulators' published decisions say. Nothing here is legal advice, and whether betting is lawful where you live is a separate question from whether a book will take your registration.

If you are in the United States

None of the three books we review accepts players in the United States. Each one names the US in its own restricted-markets terms, and the registration form enforces it. That is the plain answer for roughly half the people searching for crypto esports betting, and padding this page with books we have not reviewed would not change it.

Stake.us is not a US version of Stake.com. It is a separate sweepstakes and social platform, run by a different entity under a different legal model, and it uses virtual currencies rather than real-money crypto wagering. The Stake review separates the two products. Its own availability is limited by state: as of our check on 5 October 2026, its state restrictions ran into the twenties and included some of the largest states, published lists disagreed on the exact set, and several states were moving to ban the sweepstakes model during 2026. We give that as dated context, not as a recommendation.

What US bettors can use instead is a different question. Licensed state sportsbooks price esports where a state permits online sports betting, and prediction markets list some esports outcomes as event contracts. The section on prediction markets on our esports betting page explains how those differ from a sportsbook.

We do not list offshore books that accept US players. None of them has a BO5 review, and we do not score an operator we have not reviewed.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT: which coin to use

Use the coin the book pays out in, on the network its cashier page names. Bitcoin is the coin accepted most widely. Ethereum confirms faster and carries most stablecoins. USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, takes price movement out of the time between deposit and withdrawal. Which book takes which coin is in the comparison above, and only where it has been checked.

The most expensive mistake is the wrong network. USDT runs on several networks, most commonly Ethereum (ERC-20) and Tron (TRC-20), and an address on one is not an address on the other. Send TRC-20 USDT to an ERC-20 deposit address and the funds usually cannot be recovered, by you or by the book. The same applies to Ethereum sent from a layer-two network or BNB Chain to a mainnet address. Read the network on the cashier page every time, and send a small test amount the first time you use a new address.

Fees and waiting time come from the network, not the book. Bitcoin fees rise when the network is busy, and a book credits a deposit only after the confirmations it requires, which on Bitcoin can take the better part of an hour. Ethereum fees vary with demand too. A book may also charge its own withdrawal fee or set a minimum per coin, which is why those values join the comparison only once they have been read off the operator's payments page.

Price movement is the cost nobody quotes. A balance held in Bitcoin or Ethereum moves with the market while your bet runs, so a winning bet can be worth less in your own currency at withdrawal than the stake was at deposit, and a losing one can cost more. A stablecoin avoids that, within the limits of its peg. This is a mechanic of funding a bet, not a view on any coin.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT: typical confirmation time and what goes wrong.
CoinTypical confirmation timeWhat goes wrong
BitcoinRoughly 10 to 60 minutes, set by how many confirmations the book requiresFees rise when the network is busy. An exchange that batches withdrawals adds its own delay.
EthereumA few minutes on mainnetSending from a layer-two network or BNB Chain to a mainnet address. Gas fees vary with demand.
USDT (Tether)Depends on the network: a minute or two on Tron, a few minutes on EthereumChoosing the wrong network. TRC-20 sent to an ERC-20 address is usually lost.

How withdrawals and KYC actually work

A crypto deposit does not remove identity verification. It moves it to the withdrawal. Every book on this page reserves the right to check who you are and where you are, and the check usually runs when you first ask for money back rather than when you sign up.

The complaint registers show what that looks like. Against Thunderpick, delayed-withdrawal complaints on AskGamblers recur from 2023 to 2026, and their distinguishing feature is timing: accounts that deposited and withdrew without friction for months, then stalled at verification right after a significant win, sometimes with the same documents requested twice. The Thunderpick review covers the pattern. Against GG.BET, the same register carries delayed-withdrawal complaints from 2021 to 2026, and the resolved cases on Casino Guru turn on verification rather than a refusal to pay, as the GG.BET review sets out. Stake triggers checks on account activity and checks location at withdrawal, which is where an account opened from a restricted country gets closed.

The fix costs nothing. Verify before you need to withdraw: send photo identification and proof of address while the account is empty, keep dated copies of what you send, and expect to show that you own the wallet you withdraw to. A payout window quoted in minutes only applies to an account that has already cleared this step.

Some crypto betting pages advertise accounts that skip identity checks altogether. The terms of every book we review reserve those checks, so read that promise as a description of when the check happens, not whether it does.

Where your balance sits: custody

On a crypto book, your balance is held by the operator, not in your wallet. Once a deposit lands, the coins sit in wallets the book controls, and what you hold is a claim on them rather than the coins themselves. That is true of every book on this page.

Stake's record shows why it matters. On 4 September 2023, roughly 41 million dollars was drained from Stake's hot wallets across the Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon networks after hot-wallet private keys were compromised. The FBI attributed the theft to the Lazarus Group. Stake absorbed the loss, no user losses were reported and no regulatory action followed. The Stake review covers it in full.

The practical rule is simple: keep only what you are betting on the site. Withdraw winnings you do not plan to use, and do not treat a sportsbook balance as storage. Stake absorbing its breach meant its users lost nothing. A book that could not absorb one would leave its users waiting in line as creditors.

How we chose these books

Every book here has a full BO5 review, scored against the same six weighted criteria, with caps that stop a book scoring past its own payout or regulatory record. The scores in the comparison are read from those reviews rather than set for this page, and how we score betting sites publishes the rubric in full. The list is three books long because we only list operators we have reviewed, and more reviews are in progress. For the same books compared on coverage, licences and payouts with crypto set aside, see our esports betting sites page.

How we rate operators

Crypto Esports Betting Questions

Can you bet on esports with Bitcoin?

Yes, at esports-native and crypto-first sportsbooks that accept it, and on several of them crypto is the main or only funding route. Whether you can use one depends on where you live, because each book excludes a list of countries in its terms, and all three books we review exclude the United States and the United Kingdom. Pick your country in the region selector to see which books are not on its restricted lists. The condition that matters most comes later: a Bitcoin deposit does not remove identity verification, and the check is usually requested when you first withdraw. Verify your account before you deposit, and send Bitcoin only to the address and network the cashier page shows.

It depends on where you live, and this page cannot answer it for you. What we can report is what the operators' own terms say: all three books here exclude the United States and the United Kingdom, along with regulated European markets such as Spain, and France and the Netherlands depending on the book. A regulator can also act against an offshore book directly, as Sweden's did with a prohibition order against GG.BET's operating company in 2025. Funding an account in crypto changes none of this, because the restrictions follow your location rather than your payment method. Check the region selector, check your own country's rules, and treat a book that will not complete your registration as the answer. This is not legal advice.

Can you bet on esports anonymously with crypto?

No. Every book we review reserves the right to verify your identity and location, and the check is usually requested at your first withdrawal. A crypto deposit postpones verification. It does not remove it. The detail is in how withdrawals and KYC work.

How fast are crypto withdrawals?

Faster than card withdrawals on a verified account, but none arrives the moment you ask. The time is the book's own processing plus the network's confirmations, and an unverified account waits for verification first. We publish a window per coin only once it has been read off the operator's payments page.

Which cryptocurrency is best for esports betting?

The best cryptocurrency for esports betting is the one your book pays out in, on the network its cashier page names, because a mismatch costs more than any difference between coins. Bitcoin is accepted most widely, so it is the simplest choice if you bet across several books. Ethereum confirms faster and is the network many stablecoins run on. A stablecoin such as USDT takes price movement out of the gap between deposit and withdrawal, which matters if your bet runs for days or you hold a balance. Whichever you choose, check the network on the cashier page each time, send a small test amount to any new address, and expect a minimum or fee per coin. See which coin to use.

What happens if I send crypto on the wrong network?

It is usually lost. A deposit address only receives on the network the book specifies, and coins sent on another network may not be recoverable by you or by the book. Check the network on the cashier page every time.

Betting responsibly

Betting is entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money, and every market on this page is priced so the book keeps a margin. You must be 18 or older to bet, and 21 or older in some markets. Set a deposit limit before you place a first bet rather than after a losing run, and use the operator's own limit and self-exclusion tools if you need them. If betting has stopped feeling optional, GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy all offer free confidential support.

Crypto deposits are the fastest route into an account, which is exactly why a deposit limit should be set before the first bet.
