1xBet Esports Review: Coverage, Licence and Regulatory Record

1xBet runs one of the deepest esports slates we have checked, well into tier-three and regional events most books skip, and sponsors teams including Team Spirit, OG and MIBR. It also carries the heaviest regulatory record in our reviews: a Dutch regulator fine, a cancelled Ukrainian licence and sanctions, and the court-confirmed bankruptcy of a former licence holder over unpaid player claims. Both sides are set out below.

Every decision below is cited to the regulator or court that made it, or to reporting of it where the decision is not published online. The licence, the esports slate and the sportsbook offer were checked on 1xBet's site, its terms and the Curaçao register on 17 October 2026.

Is 1xBet legitimate?

1xBet is a large, long-running sportsbook that holds licences in some markets and has been the subject of regulator, government and court decisions in several others. Community threads ask whether it is a scam. The record answers a narrower question better: what has actually been decided, by whom, and against which company.

In the Netherlands, the Kansspelautoriteit fined 1X Corp N.V. and Exinvest Limited €400,000 in a decision dated 25 February 2019, for offering 1xbet.com and other sites to Dutch players without a licence during 2018. The regulator decided the objection in July 2019, and a later appeal was withdrawn, so the fine is final.

The United Kingdom case is usually misreported. 1xBet never held its own UK Gambling Commission licence. Its UK-facing site ran as a white label under the licence of FSB Technology (UK) Ltd, and in August 2019, after a Sunday Times investigation, FSB closed it while the Commission looked into FSB's relationship with 1xBet. That is a licensed partner shutting a white-label site, not a regulator revoking a licence, and we found no Commission document recording a revocation.

In Ukraine, the gambling regulator KRAIL cancelled the licences of Your Betting Company LLC, which ran the 1xBet brand there, on 7 September 2022, after the Bureau of Economic Security found a false declaration that the company did not serve residents of an aggressor state. A presidential decree of 10 March 2023 then brought sanctions against the same company into force for 50 years.

The bankruptcy of 1X Corp N.V., a Curaçao company that held the sublicence 1xBet once operated under, is set out under payouts below, because it is a payout finding as much as a legal one. 1xBet says 1X Corp is not its owner.

For a reader, the practical meaning is limited recourse. An offshore licence gives few routes to challenge a withheld payout, and the record shows player claims that only reached a resolution through a supreme court. None of that means every account runs into trouble, and many customers bet with 1xBet without incident, but it is the context any deposit is made in.

For the scale of a single-order record by comparison, see the regulator section of our GG.BET review.

Which licence covers 1xBet today

1xbet.com's footer does not name its operating company. Its terms name Caecus N.V., a Curaçao company with registration number 163779, under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1262/0493. That licence appears on the authority's register of 2 October 2026, first granted on 7 November 2024 and listed from 24 December 2025 with no expiry date. Earlier registers gave it fixed terms, and the April 2026 register showed it in assessment.

This is a different company from 1X Corp N.V., whose old sublicence under the Cyberluck master licence no longer exists, because Curaçao's new gaming law replaced master licences with licences issued directly by the authority. Outside Curaçao, 1xBet operates through separate local companies under local licences. The ones below are those we could find on the regulator's own register.

The regulator's notice records that 1xBet's local operator closed its business

A local licence covers the local site in that country and nothing else, so none of these tells you anything about 1xbet.com. Brazil is the clearest case of how fast that can change. Ordinance SPA/MF No. 1.666 authorised a separate company, DEFY LTDA, to run the 1xBet brand there in July 2025, but Provisional Measure No. 1,394 of September 2026 prohibited online fixed-odds betting nationwide and extinguished existing authorisations. The measure is under review in Congress and challenged in the Supreme Court.

Esports coverage: deep into the lower tiers

1xBet's strength is depth rather than the title count alone. On 17 October 2026 its esports section listed fourteen titles, from Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant to Mobile Legends, Honor of Kings, CrossFire and Standoff 2. Counter-Strike 2 alone carried 73 events, from the European Pro League down to CCT, United 21, NODWIN and regional closed qualifiers, the tier-three circuit most books leave alone. One live Counter-Strike match that morning offered more than 900 markets.

That breadth is why so many esports bettors use it despite the record. Its prices are competitive too. OddsPapi, an odds-data provider, put 1xBet's median closing overround at 6.65% across 303 CS2, League of Legends and Dota 2 series in September 2026. Arbitrage bettors discuss it often for a different reason: its lines can sit out of step with the wider market.

1xBet sponsors Team Spirit and OG in Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2, Tundra Esports in Dota 2, and MIBR, whose Valorant deal began in November 2025. BO5 covers matches involving all four. BO5 also holds its own match data on the four main titles, which the corroborated column below records.

Sign-up offer

The sportsbook offer 1xBet showed us on 17 October 2026, priced in Canadian dollars, is a weekly cashback on bets placed in its iOS or Android app rather than a one-off welcome bonus. Three to five bets in a week return 10% of the average stake, six to nine return 15%, and ten or more return 25%, up to 160 CAD. You opt in with a Take part button, and no code is needed.

The conditions are tight. Only single bets at odds of 1.50 or higher and accumulators with every selection at 1.40 or higher count, and handicap and total bets are excluded. The cashback must then be wagered five times within five days, in accumulators of four or more selections at 1.40 or higher, and the offer is limited to one per account, family, IP address and device. Offers differ by country. This review does not cover casino promotions.

Payments, withdrawals and the payout record

1xBet offers cards, e-wallets, bank transfer and cryptocurrency, with a long list of local methods that differs by country, so the cashier you see depends on where you are. Limits and fees vary with it.

The 1X Corp bankruptcy and unpaid player claims

1X Corp N.V., a Curaçao company that held the sublicence 1xBet once operated under, was declared bankrupt by a Curaçao court on 17 November 2021. The petition came from SBGOK, a foundation acting for players who said they had not been paid. A second judge annulled the ruling two weeks later, but the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the BES islands declared the company bankrupt again on 6 May 2022, and the Dutch Supreme Court upheld that bankruptcy in January 2023.

1xBet responded by calling the reports "a mixture of fantasy" and "complete nonsense", and says 1X Corp N.V. is not its owner. The brand continues to trade. A bankruptcy brought on behalf of unpaid players and upheld at the highest court is stronger evidence about payouts than any complaint register, which is why it carries the payout score.

Withdrawal times and verification

1xBet's rules say a withdrawal may take up to seven business days, and that verification with some payment systems can run for up to 180 days. Many customers report being paid far faster than that, and the operator handles very large volumes, but the rules are what you can hold it to. Complaints about 1xBet on AskGamblers run to many pages, and most of those we looked at were resolved within about 95 hours. Complete verification before you deposit, use one account only, and keep a record of every transaction.

Deposit limits and self-exclusion tools are covered under betting responsibly, further down this review.

Where 1xBet is restricted or blocked

1xBet's terms say using its site may be illegal in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Cyprus and the Netherlands, and that it is not meant for residents of any country where betting is illegal. It is also blocked by government order in others, including India and Pakistan. Those are two different kinds of fact, so the lists below keep them apart.

A market restricted by the operator is one 1xBet will not register you from. Its registration form, read on 17 October 2026, offers no option for the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Turkey or most of the European Union, while it does list Canada, Finland, New Zealand and much of Latin America, Africa and Asia. A market blocked by an authority is one where a government or regulator has acted against 1xBet itself, usually by ordering internet providers or app stores to block it.

Restricted by the operator

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • France
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Switzerland
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Czech Republic
  • Malta
  • Greece
  • Turkey
  • Curaçao

Countries the registration form offers no option for, among those BO5's selector covers. The form also leaves out Belarus, China, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Israel, Serbia, Ukraine and the rest of the European Union except Finland. 1xBet's terms name the United States, the United Kingdom, Cyprus and the Netherlands as examples of countries where using the site may be illegal. Terms and registration form checked 17 October 2026.

Blocked by a government or regulator

  • India
  • Pakistan
  • Bangladesh

India's broadcasting ministry named 1xBet in an advisory of 3 October 2022, and its IT ministry's February 2023 block of 138 betting apps was reported to include it. Pakistan's telecoms regulator blocked it among 46 apps in August 2025, as reported. Police investigators in Bangladesh have described it as banned and blocked. 1xBet's own registration form still lists all three, so these blocks come from the governments, not from 1xBet. Separately, Brazil prohibited all online fixed-odds betting in September 2026, which ended 1xBet's local authorisation there. Using an operator a government has blocked may breach local law.

Where a government has blocked an operator, using it may breach local law, whatever the operator's own rules say. This review gives no guidance on getting around a block or a restriction.

Severe record cap: the weighted total of 3.3 is held at 2.0. How caps work

1xBet scores 5.0 on esports coverage, joint highest in our reviews, and 5.0 on market variety, the highest outright. The overall score is held at 2.0 by the severe-record cap, because the company that ran its brand in Ukraine is under active government sanctions and a former licence holder's bankruptcy over unpaid player claims was upheld by the Dutch Supreme Court. The licence criterion is also capped by the Ukrainian licence cancellation.

1xBet questions

Is 1xBet legit?

1xBet is a large, long-running operator that holds licences in some markets and has been the subject of regulator and court decisions in several others. Its international site is run by Caecus N.V. under Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1262/0493. The Dutch regulator fined 1X Corp N.V. and Exinvest Limited €400,000 in 2019 for unlicensed operation. Ukraine's regulator cancelled the licence of the company running the 1xBet brand there in 2022, and Ukraine then sanctioned that company. A former licence holder, 1X Corp N.V., was declared bankrupt on a petition from unpaid players, upheld by the Dutch Supreme Court in 2023, and 1xBet says 1X Corp is not its owner. It also offers one of the deepest esports slates we review. Whether that outweighs the record is a judgement for each reader.

Did the UK Gambling Commission ban 1xBet?

Not in the way it is usually described. 1xBet never held its own UK Gambling Commission licence, and its UK-facing site ran as a white label under the licence of FSB Technology (UK) Ltd. In August 2019, after a Sunday Times investigation, FSB closed the 1xBet site while the Commission investigated FSB's relationship with it. 1xBet has not been available to UK players since, but a licensed partner closed a white-label site. No regulator revoked a licence 1xBet held.

Was 1xBet declared bankrupt?

No, the 1xBet brand was not, and it still trades. The company declared bankrupt was 1X Corp N.V., a Curaçao firm that held the sublicence 1xBet once used. A Curaçao court made the declaration in November 2021 on a petition from SBGOK, a foundation for unpaid players. After that ruling was annulled, the Joint Court of Justice declared the bankruptcy again in May 2022, and the Dutch Supreme Court upheld it in January 2023. 1xBet dismissed the reports as nonsense and says 1X Corp is not its owner.

Why is 1xBet blocked in my country?

1xBet is unavailable in some countries because its own rules exclude them, and blocked in others because a government has acted against it, usually by ordering internet providers or app stores to block it. India and Pakistan are in the second group, and police in Bangladesh describe it as blocked there. Using an operator your government has blocked may breach local law. The lists above show which applies where.

Which esports can you bet on at 1xBet?

On 17 October 2026 1xBet listed fourteen esports titles, including Counter-Strike 2, the successor to CS:GO, Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant and Mobile Legends. Its Counter-Strike slate runs deep into tier-three and regional events most books skip. A single live match can carry hundreds of markets.

Why is 1xBet sanctioned in Ukraine?

In September 2022 Ukraine's gambling regulator cancelled the licences of Your Betting Company LLC, which ran the 1xBet brand in Ukraine, after finding a false declaration that it did not serve residents of an aggressor state. A presidential decree of March 2023 then imposed sanctions on the company for 50 years. We found no report of them being lifted.

Does 1xBet pay out winnings?

Many customers report receiving withdrawals, and 1xBet processes very large volumes across a long list of payment methods. Its rules allow up to seven business days for a withdrawal, and longer where some payment systems' verification is involved, and most AskGamblers complaints we looked at were resolved within about 95 hours. The record also holds something unusual for this industry: a bankruptcy petition brought on behalf of players who had not been paid, against 1X Corp N.V., which the Dutch Supreme Court upheld in 2023. Arbitrage bettors, who often beat 1xBet's lines, ask this question more than anyone. Verify before you deposit, hold one account, and keep records of every transaction.

Betting responsibly

Betting is entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money, and every market on this page is priced so the book keeps a margin. You must be 18 or older to bet, and 21 or older in some markets. Set a deposit limit before you place a first bet rather than after a losing run, and use the operator's own limit and self-exclusion tools if you need them. If betting has stopped feeling optional, GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy all offer free confidential support.
