Cloudbet Esports Review: Markets, Licence and Integrity Reviews

Cloudbet is one of the longest-running crypto sportsbooks, taking bets since 2013 under a Curaçao licence held by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., with esports markets deeper per title than most crypto books. It says deposits go straight to cold storage. It also places some winning accounts under "betting integrity reviews", which bettors report can last months. This review sets out the licence, the restricted countries and that review process.

The licence, payment and restricted-country details below were checked against Cloudbet's terms and the Curaçao register on 16 October 2026, and the restricted list is still to be checked against the registration form. The complaint pattern comes from AskGamblers, named wherever it is used.

Is Cloudbet legitimate?

Cloudbet is a licensed operator with a long track record. It took its first bet in October 2013, it holds a Curaçao licence through Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., and it has one regulator action on record, a 2022 warning in Australia. What a winning bettor most needs to know about it is its account-review practice, which the payouts section below explains.

Cloudbet's licence is Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/328/0599, held by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., company number 148526, and first entered on the register on 23 May 2025. Licences in this format are issued directly by the authority under Curaçao's new gaming law, which ended the old system of master licences and sublicences. The register the authority published on 2 October 2026 lists the licence with a term of 23 November 2025 to 23 May 2026 and the status assessment in progress, so its renewal has not been confirmed. The certificate linked from Cloudbet's footer confirms the operator and licence number.

Australia's communications regulator, ACMA, issued a formal warning to Halcyon Super Holdings in July 2022 after finding that Cloudbet had provided prohibited and unlicensed online gambling to people in Australia, and it later asked Australian internet providers to block the site. Cloudbet now lists Australia as restricted. We found no action in published decisions from Spelinspektionen, the Dutch KSA, the MGA, Italy's ADM, the UK Gambling Commission or France's ANJ, though a search of published decisions cannot prove that none exists.

On custody, Cloudbet states that deposits move straight to offline cold wallets, whatever their size, and that withdrawals are paid from hot wallets holding only a small amount. That limits how much sits exposed to an online attack at any one time. It is a custody model the operator describes rather than an audited guarantee, and we found no proof-of-reserves report.

Under a Curaçao licence, Cloudbet answers to a regulator with fewer tools for individual disputes than a tier-one authority such as the UK Gambling Commission, which backs players with approved dispute resolution and public enforcement. Your first recourse is Cloudbet's own complaints route. Its terms send unresolved disputes to CADRE, an independent dispute resolution service whose final decision binds both sides.

How Cloudbet's sportsbook works

Cloudbet is a crypto sportsbook first. It launched taking bets on football, it prices a wide range of sports alongside esports, both before and during matches, and a single account balance funds everything on the site.

That shared wallet matters more than it sounds, because the terms are not shared. A welcome credit, a promotion or a withdrawal condition can apply to one part of the site and not another, and the account-level checks described further down apply to the whole balance. Read the sportsbook terms on their own rather than assuming a headline offer carries over to sports bets. Cloudbet also runs a casino, which this review does not cover.

Cloudbet is crypto-first. Its terms list 29 cryptocurrencies alongside fiat currencies, and its help pages describe cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay mainly as a way to buy crypto through a third-party service before it reaches the account. If you want to bet from a card-funded balance in your own currency, check what the cashier offers in your country before you register.

Esports coverage and per-title markets

Cloudbet prices Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant alongside Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, StarCraft, Overwatch, Rocket League and sports titles such as EA Sports FC and NBA 2K, with in-play betting as well as pre-match.

Its strength is the depth of the menu inside each title rather than the number of titles. Three market types show it. A total kills market is a line on the combined kills in a Dota 2 map, so you are backing a fast, bloody game or a slow one rather than a winner. A map duration market asks whether a map ends before or after a stated time. A map handicap gives the underdog a head start of maps, so the favourite has to win by more than the margin. Counter-Strike adds total rounds and pistol-round markets.

Coverage thins below the main circuits. The deepest menus sit on top events, so a regional qualifier may carry little more than a match line. Some of Cloudbet's title pages are several years old, so read the market list as what Cloudbet has offered rather than a promise for every fixture, and check the event you want before you deposit. BO5 holds its own match data on the four main titles, which the corroborated column below records.

Sign-up offer and its conditions

Cloudbet's welcome package is a single offer covering the sportsbook and the casino together, and according to Cloudbet's help page on how it works, it starts automatically on your first deposit with no code to enter.

The sportsbook part is a weekly sports cash drop, worked out from your settled sports bets in the previous week. Part of each drop is credited when you claim it and the rest goes into a separate rewards balance. The headline amount Cloudbet advertises includes casino play, so it is not the figure a sports bettor should plan around, and the casino terms differ from the sportsbook's.

One clause matters more than the offer. Clause 8.8 of Cloudbet's terms says you must wager at least the total of your deposits before you withdraw, a 100% playthrough that Cloudbet may reduce at its discretion. The terms do not say whether it is applied to every account or only alongside the package, so ask support in writing before you deposit.

Payments, withdrawals and the integrity review

Cloudbet pays out in the coin you hold. Its terms say crypto withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval, subject to identity checks, with minimums that vary by coin. Verification becomes mandatory once your deposits reach USD 2,200 in total.

What a "betting integrity review" is

A "betting integrity review" is Cloudbet's own name, as quoted in complaint correspondence, for a review of an account's betting activity during which the account is restricted and its funds are held. Complaints on AskGamblers describe it arriving after a run of winning sports bets, on accounts that had worked normally while losing. Cloudbet's own message, quoted in a complaint filed after a restriction on 24 September 2026, calls it a "standard betting integrity review" that "in certain rare cases" can take up to six months, and Cloudbet's replies to Trustpilot reviews in October 2026 give the same window.

The pattern recurs across several years of complaints and is still being filed. A bettor who opened an account for the 2026 World Cup was restricted after a withdrawal request on 10 July, with USD 1,142 unresolved, and the September case concerns USD 1,845 and is still open. Others end differently: in one, an account restricted from 10 April for USD 300 was released after Cloudbet found the player held several accounts and closed the extras. Overall, 84 of the 96 complaints on Cloudbet's AskGamblers listing are marked resolved, with an average complaint lasting eight days. Some complainants call the reviews a pretext for keeping winnings. That is their view rather than a finding.

If your account is placed under review

Treat a review as a process to document rather than an argument to win. Keep your bet history, deposit records and every email from Cloudbet, with dates. Reply to verification requests promptly and completely, because an unanswered request leaves the review waiting on you. Raise the matter through Cloudbet's formal complaints route in writing and keep the reference. If that does not resolve it, Cloudbet's terms name CADRE, an independent dispute resolution service whose final decision binds both sides, and public registers such as AskGamblers mediate some cases. Do not open a second account or change location while the review runs, since that can breach the terms on its own.

Withdrawal times

On a verified account with no review open, Cloudbet's terms put crypto withdrawals at typically within 24 hours of approval, and its homepage claims most complete in minutes. Congestion on the network of the coin you choose can add time after the payout leaves Cloudbet. None of that applies while identity verification is incomplete, an integrity review is open or the deposit playthrough in clause 8.8 is unmet, because each one holds a withdrawal however fast the normal path is. Verify the account while the balance is small, before a large win makes the timing matter.

For the opposite account policy, a book that says it never limits winning customers, see the Pinnacle review.

A tier-one licensed book takes a third approach, with restrictions on defined grounds, set out in the Betway review.

A fourth approach, limiting how much an account can stake, is explained in the bet365 review.

A US state-licensed book that takes the same line as bet365 is covered in the DraftKings review.

FanDuel follows the same mainstream pattern, as the FanDuel review explains.

Whatever the book, deposit limits and self-exclusion are covered under betting responsibly below.

Where Cloudbet accepts players

Cloudbet does not accept players from the United States, the United Kingdom or Australia, or from a substantial list of European markets including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, and it names Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk among the restricted regions of Ukraine. Japan and Turkey are on the list too.

The countries below are the ones that map to BO5's country selector, and the note under them lists the rest with where the list came from. Cloudbet's terms and its support page give the same list, and the registration form on the day is the final test.

Canada is not on the restricted list we read, and we found no statement from Cloudbet about Ontario, which licenses online betting through its own regulated market. Check the rules where you live before you register.

It is where you live and play from, not your passport

Cloudbet's restrictions apply two tests, and neither is nationality. Clause 7.1.2 of its terms refuses registration from residents of jurisdictions that prohibit online gambling, and clause 7.1.3 requires that you are not physically located in a listed country when you play. A citizen of a restricted country who lives in a permitted one can register, since the proof-of-address documents requested at verification establish residence, but cannot bet while visiting a listed country. A resident of a restricted country is excluded whatever passport they hold. Complaints show readers confusing these tests. Disguising your location breaches the terms and puts the whole balance at risk.

The Cloudbet app

We found no native Cloudbet app on the App Store or Google Play. The site runs in a mobile browser, and adding it to your home screen gives app-like access. Apps using the Cloudbet name in app stores or as downloadable files are not shown to come from Cloudbet, so do not enter your login details into them.

Who Cloudbet suits, and who should look elsewhere

Good fit if

  • You hold crypto and want one wallet.
  • You bet per-map and per-title markets.
  • You want a long-established crypto operator.
  • You are outside the restricted list.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a tier-one licence.
  • You bet profitably and want no account reviews.
  • You need a native app.
  • You are in a restricted market.

The payout criterion is capped at 2.5 because the integrity-review and withdrawal-delay pattern on AskGamblers spans more than twelve months. Cloudbet questions

Is Cloudbet legit?

Cloudbet is a licensed, long-running operator. It has taken bets since October 2013 and is run by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/328/0599, first granted on 23 May 2025, which the authority's October 2026 register lists as assessment in progress. Australia's regulator warned the operator in 2022 for serving Australian players, and Cloudbet now restricts Australia. We found no other published enforcement. The caveat that matters to winning bettors is its betting integrity review: complaints on AskGamblers record accounts restricted for review after winning sports bets, with correspondence saying a review can take up to six months, and 84 of 96 recorded complaints are marked resolved. A Curaçao licence also gives less recourse than a UK one, though Cloudbet's terms send disputes to CADRE, an independent service.

Why is my Cloudbet account under a betting integrity review?

A betting integrity review is Cloudbet's process for examining an account's betting activity before it releases funds or allows further bets. Complaints filed on AskGamblers describe it being applied most often after a run of winning sports bets, on accounts that had previously worked without issue. While it runs, the account is typically restricted and the balance held. Cloudbet's own wording, quoted in a September 2026 complaint, describes a standard review that only in certain rare cases takes up to six months. Many recorded cases end with the funds paid. Answer any verification request quickly, keep records of your bets and emails, and use Cloudbet's formal complaints route, then CADRE, the dispute service its terms name, if that fails.

What should I do if Cloudbet reviews my account?

Send whatever documents Cloudbet asks for as soon as you can, and keep a dated copy of each one along with your bet history. Put any complaint in writing through Cloudbet's own route first, then take it to CADRE, the independent dispute service in Cloudbet's terms, or a public register such as AskGamblers if it stalls. Avoid opening another account or betting from a different location while the review is open.

Which countries can use Cloudbet?

Cloudbet does not accept players in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or a substantial list of European markets, including France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. It also restricts Japan, Turkey, parts of Asia, sanctioned countries and three regions of Ukraine. Canada is not on its restricted list, though we found no statement covering Ontario. The full list is above, with where it came from, and the registration form is the reliable test.

Can I use Cloudbet if I am a citizen of a restricted country but live elsewhere?

Yes, as a rule, because Cloudbet tests residence and location rather than nationality. Its terms refuse registration from residents of jurisdictions that prohibit online gambling and bar betting while you are physically in a listed country, so a citizen of a restricted country who lives in a permitted one can register but cannot bet while visiting a listed country. Using a VPN or any other means to disguise your location breaches the terms.

Which esports can you bet on at Cloudbet?

Cloudbet prices Counter-Strike 2, which replaced CS:GO, along with Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant, and other titles including Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, StarCraft, Overwatch and Rocket League, pre-match and in-play. What sets it apart is the menu inside each title: beyond match and map winners, its pages list total kills, map duration and handicap markets, with total rounds and pistol rounds on Counter-Strike. Coverage is deepest on tier-one and tier-two events and thinner on regional qualifiers, and the title list moves with the tournament calendar.

Does Cloudbet keep player funds in cold storage?

Cloudbet states that deposits move straight to offline cold wallets, whatever their size, and that payouts come from hot wallets holding a small amount. Cold storage reduces exposure to the kind of hot-wallet compromise that cost another crypto operator around 41 million dollars in 2023. It is a custody model rather than a guarantee, so withdrawing rather than holding a balance still reduces your exposure.

Betting responsibly

Betting is entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money, and every market on this page is priced so the book keeps a margin. You must be 18 or older to bet, and 21 or older in some markets. Set a deposit limit before you place a first bet rather than after a losing run, and use the operator's own limit and self-exclusion tools if you need them. If betting has stopped feeling optional, GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy all offer free confidential support.

Cloudbet's strength is the market menu inside each match, so the useful next step is to see how today's matches are priced. Open the live esports odds to compare the books BO5 tracks, or return to the esports betting sites we cover to set Cloudbet beside the rest.
