bet365 Esports Review: Coverage, Streaming, Licence and Limits

bet365 is one of the most extensively licensed sportsbooks in the world, and its regulatory record includes recent sanctions. It operates through Hillside companies licensed market by market, including by the UK Gambling Commission, the Malta Gaming Authority and state regulators across the US.

In April 2024 the Gambling Commission required bet365's two UK licensees to pay £582,120 to socially responsible causes in lieu of a fine, plus costs, for anti-money-laundering and social-responsibility failings between May 2021 and September 2022. The Commission found that new customers were not checked against financial sanctions before their first deposit and that its interactions with customers at risk of harm were not tailored to their circumstances. The licences were not suspended.

In the US, New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement ordered bet365 in July 2024 to pay $519,323.32 on 199 winning bets it had re-priced, and fined it $33,000 that August for taking bets on events already completed. In September 2026 North Carolina fined it $75,000 for sending promotional messages to customers who had self-excluded, an issue bet365 reported itself. That is the most recent action, and the one closest to reader protection: a self-exclusion is meant to stop all marketing as well as all betting.

The licences also give you somewhere to take a dispute. In the UK, bet365 is registered with IBAS, the Independent Betting Adjudication Service, and says it will abide by its rulings. In the US, each state's regulator takes complaints about the operators it licenses. An offshore book offers neither.

The same brand runs differently licensed products, so what you can bet on depends on where you are. The international site and its local versions answer to national regulators, while the US product is licensed one state at a time.

The most common US surprise is that esports may not appear at all. If a state's regulator has not approved esports events, the category is missing from bet365's app there, even though bet365 is licensed in that state.

On 17 October 2026 bet365's esports page carried match lists for Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends and Dota 2, plus sports-based games and virtual Counter-Strike. Its Counter-Strike competitions ran from the European Pro League and PGL Bucharest down to CCT Challengers, Elisa BreakOut and DraculaN, and the featured match carried a live stream.

Streaming is the standout. A stream beside the price lets you watch the match you are betting on in the same window, and bet365 attaches one to its featured esports matches. The markets go deep where it matters, with map-level and round-level bets such as both pistol rounds, map winning margin and how round one is won.

Navigation is the weak point. In our own testing in October 2026, the page listed competitions one by one, mixing titles, with little to help you find a single game's matches quickly.

bet365's welcome offer differs by country and by US state. In the UK it is reported as bet £10 and get £30 in bet credits, and in US states the amount varies from state to state. Most markets do not need a code.

Read the terms on the site for your own market before you deposit, because qualifying odds, expiry and eligible bets change with it. bet365 also runs casino offers, which this review does not cover.

bet365 is a fiat book with card, e-wallet and bank-transfer payments in most markets. Withdrawals are widely reported as reliable, with e-wallets paying within hours and cards taking up to five business days once an account is verified.

bet365 is available across the UK and much of Europe, Latin America, Canada and Australia, and in 18 US states plus Washington DC. It is restricted in several European countries, including Belgium, Portugal, Poland and Norway, and in US states where it is not licensed.

The international list below comes from bet365.com's registration form, read on 17 October 2026. Brazil is on that form, but Brazil prohibited fixed-odds betting in September 2026 and existing authorisations are set to lapse. The US table lists every state where bet365 is live, with whether that state permits esports betting and its minimum age.

No cap applies: none of bet365's sanctions is a prohibition order or licence suspension, and there is no payout pattern in a complaint register. Live streaming and in-play depth are its strongest features, and the platform score is held at 3.5 by the navigation problems in our own testing. Odds value is not yet assessed, so its weight is spread across the other criteria.
