Every state where bet365 is live
bet365's US sportsbook is live in 18 states plus Washington DC, as checked on 17 October 2026. Its two most recent launches were West Virginia on 27 August 2026 and DC on 8 September 2026.
Other published lists disagree on the count, mostly because they have not been updated since those launches, which is why every row here carries the date we checked it. Each state's launch date, regulator and age come from bet365's own state pages and the state's regulator.
DraftKings' state-by-state picture, product by product, is on the DraftKings states page.
FanDuel's, including the states where its app offers no sports at all, is on the FanDuel states page.
Where you can bet on esports with bet365
You can bet on esports with bet365 only where it is live and the state's regulator permits esports wagering. Each regulator publishes the events and bet types it approves, and those catalogues differ: some states include esports broadly, some approve individual events, and New Jersey only permits esports bets where every competitor is 18 or older.
If esports does not appear in your bet365 app, your state has not approved those events, even though bet365 is licensed there. Even where esports is permitted, bet365 lists events one at a time, so the menu changes with the calendar.
Where the table says Not yet verified, we have not yet confirmed the state's position from its own regulator or law, and we would rather say so than guess. The date beside it is when we last looked.
What bet365 prices when esports is available is covered in bet365's esports coverage, and the books compared across every market are on esports betting sites. The fixtures themselves are on CS2 matches today, Valorant matches, League of Legends matches and Dota 2 matches.

Why bet365 isn't available in your state
There are three reasons bet365's sportsbook is missing from a state: the state has no legal sports betting, the state allows a single operator, or the state permits betting but bet365 does not hold a licence there.
bet365 in Texas
Texas has not legalised sports betting, so the bet365 sportsbook is not available there. Neither is bet365 Racing, its separate horse-racing app.
bet365 in Florida
Florida allows sports betting only through the Seminole Tribe's operator, under the Tribe's compact with the state, so the bet365 sportsbook is not available. bet365 Racing, the separate horse-racing app, is.
bet365 in California
California has not legalised sports betting, so the bet365 sportsbook is not available there. bet365 Racing, the horse-racing app, is available.
bet365 in New York
New York allows mobile sports betting, but only through operators it has licensed, and bet365 is not one of them. bet365 Racing, the horse-racing app, is available.
bet365 in Georgia
Georgia has not legalised sports betting, so no bet365 product is available there, neither the sportsbook nor the racing app.
bet365 in Massachusetts
Massachusetts allows mobile sports betting through licensed operators, and bet365 does not hold a Massachusetts licence. bet365 Racing, the horse-racing app, is available.
bet365 Racing is a different app
bet365 Racing is a separate horse-racing betting app, listed as available in 38 states, including several where the bet365 sportsbook is not. California, Florida, New York and Massachusetts are the main examples, and that is probably why so many people there search for bet365.
It takes bets on horse racing only. There is no sports or esports betting in it, so it does not change anything in the table above.
Using bet365 when you travel between states
Your bet365 account goes with you, but your ability to bet does not. You can only place a bet while you are physically inside a state where bet365 is live, and its geolocation checks confirm that each time. In any other state you can still log in and see your account, but bets will not go through.
Esports adds one more condition. The state you are standing in has to permit esports betting as well, so an esports bet that works at home may not be available across the state line.
VPNs and location checks
A VPN does not change any of this. Using one to place bets from outside a licensed state breaches bet365's terms, its geolocation checks are designed to detect it, and accounts and balances can be put at risk. There is no lawful way around a state's location rule.
bet365 state questions
Which states can you use bet365 in?
As of 17 October 2026, bet365's sportsbook is live in 18 US states plus Washington DC: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. West Virginia launched on 27 August 2026 and DC on 8 September 2026. You must be physically inside one of these jurisdictions to place a bet, and be 21 or older, or 18 in DC.
Is bet365 available in Michigan?
Yes. bet365 launched in Michigan on 17 April 2026, regulated by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, and you must be 21 or older to bet.
Can you bet on esports with bet365 in every state where it's live?
No. bet365 can only offer esports betting in states whose regulator has approved esports wagering, and those approvals differ. Some states include esports in their approved catalogue of events, some approve individual events, and New Jersey only permits esports betting where every competitor is 18 or older. Even where esports is permitted, bet365 lists events one at a time. If you see no esports category in your bet365 app, your state has not approved those events. The table above shows each state's position and when we checked it.
Does my bet365 account work in another state?
Your bet365 account is the same wherever you go, but you can only place bets while you are physically inside a state where bet365 is live. Its geolocation checks enforce that. In any other state you can log in, but not bet.
Can I use bet365 with a VPN?
No. Using a VPN to place bets from outside a licensed state breaches bet365's terms, and its geolocation checks are designed to detect it, so accounts and balances can be put at risk.
Is bet365 the same as DraftKings?
No. bet365 and DraftKings are separate companies with separate licences, and they operate in different sets of states. bet365 is a UK-based international bookmaker, while DraftKings is a North American operator. Our bet365 review compares the two in more detail.
Help in your state
Betting is entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money, and every market on this page is priced so the book keeps a margin. Set a deposit limit before you place a first bet rather than after a losing run, and use the operator's own limit and self-exclusion tools if you need them. If betting has stopped feeling optional, GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy all offer free confidential support.
