Is there a Factory New AWP | Asiimov?

No. The AWP | Asiimov's lowest possible float is 0.18, above the 0.15 ceiling of Minimal Wear, so neither a Factory New nor a Minimal Wear copy can exist.

The cleanest copy you can own is a low-float Field-Tested, close to 0.18. Listings called "FN Asiimov" are mislabelled or scams, and a trade-up can't produce one either, because output floats are scaled into the skin's own 0.18 to 1.00 window.

AWP | Asiimov float and wear

Higher float means more wear: the white panels gray and chip, the orange blocks scratch, and at the top of the range the scope loses its paint and turns black.

What is a good float for the AWP | Asiimov?

Two ends of the range carry a premium. Field-Tested copies near 0.18 look the cleanest the skin can get, and Battle-Scarred copies above roughly 0.90 turn the scope black. Floats in the middle of each exterior trade close to that exterior's lowest ask. You can check a float before buying on BO5's inspect servers.

Output float = average input × (1.00 − 0.18) + 0.18

That is how collectors target low-float Field-Tested and high-float Battle-Scarred copies: low-float inputs land near 0.18, and high-float inputs push the result toward a black scope.

About the AWP | Asiimov

The AWP | Asiimov was designed by Steam Workshop artist Coridium and added in February 2014 with Operation Phoenix, as part of The Phoenix Collection. Its white body, orange blocks and black accents follow the Asiimov look Coridium first used on the M4A4 | Asiimov, back in the CS:GO era.

The pattern index has no effect on this finish, so two Asiimovs at the same float look the same. Price differences between copies come from float and applied stickers, not pattern.

“High risk and high reward, the infamous AWP is recognizable by its signature report and one-shot, one-kill policy. It has been custom painted with a sci-fi design.”
“Anyone can predict the future... a visionary shapes it”

AWP | Asiimov questions

Is the AWP | Asiimov a good investment?

It is one of the most traded AWP skins, so it sells easily, but its price moves in both directions. Supply only grows through Operation Phoenix case openings, and the case no longer drops weekly, which limits new copies without guaranteeing a rise. Marketplace fees also eat into any resale gain, so compare the price you would pay with what you would receive after selling. Treat it as a cosmetic you enjoy using rather than a savings plan.

How rare is the AWP | Asiimov?

Each opened Operation Phoenix Weapon Case has a 0.32% chance of containing an AWP | Asiimov, about 1 in 313, and a StatTrak™ copy is about 1 in 3,125. Battle-Scarred copies with a fully black scope are far rarer still.

Does the AWP | Asiimov affect gameplay?

No. Skins are cosmetic only. Float changes how the paint looks, not the AWP's damage, accuracy or movement speed, so the Asiimov plays exactly like a default AWP.

Who designed the AWP | Asiimov?

Steam Workshop artist Coridium, who also designed the M4A4 | Asiimov.

Why is the AWP | Asiimov cheaper outside the Steam Market?

Steam Community Market balances can only be spent on Steam, so sellers there price higher than on marketplaces that pay out in cash. Third-party prices also differ from each other because of buyer fees, trade locks and delivery speed, which is why the BO5 table sorts by the total you pay rather than the headline ask.
