How does BO5 decide which gloves are red?

BO5 measures how much of each glove's render is red. When red leads the palette, the glove counts as "mostly red"; when red is a clear secondary color, it's "red accent". The tags are provisional: an editor's review, and later in-game captures, replace them. Lists elsewhere disagree because they judge by eye or by thumbnails.

Do red gloves look different when worn?

Yes. Wear fades the color on most pairs, and gloves only reach Factory New between 0.06 and 0.07 float. That's why a Field-Tested pair can look far less red than the thumbnail.
